Annual Bulb Sale ~ Saturday, Oct 29th

  • The Big Little Garden 11 Brackenwood Drive Nashua, NH, 03062 United States (map)

Allium sphaerocephalon, aka ‘Drumstick’ allium bobs and weaves through the gentle waves of stipa tenuissima grass in a client’s garden.

Back by popular demand! This is your opportunity to buy beautiful and unusual allium, daffodil and tulip bulbs at reduced prices for fall planting. Try to shop on this first day for the best selection! (see images below for specific varieties that will be available).

First to rise in early spring are the narcissus. Most of the varieties are on the miniature to petite end of the spectrum, making them ideal for planting in perennial beds that will camouflage the daffodil foliage after the blooms are spent. These are best if planted in mass due to their small stature. Narcissus are typically NOT bothered by our garden critters.

The tulips are all ‘wildflower tulips’, meaning they are quite small in stature but really beautiful. This is my first experience with the smallest of the ‘wildflower’ tulips, but they are being billed by the seller as ‘deer proof’. Since most tulips in our gardens are attacked by chipmunks and squirrels, I am hopeful that these will be spared.

I will have a mix of late spring to mid-summer blooming allium in a variety of shapes, sizes and colors. I source only high quality bulbs that will way out-perform anything you can find at a big box store. These bulbs will come back year after year, if you follow my planting instructions. Rabbits and deer typically will not bother allium which are members of the onion family.

Let me know if you want to take a chance with me! Cash, check or Venmo accepted!

See you soon! Barb
