NASHUA, NH – Suburban neighborhoods are best known for lawns and decorative plantings. One yard in Nashua stands in stark contrast to the cliche landscape, with a garden that is certified by the National Wildlife Federation as a Wildlife Habitat.

Gardener Barb Young has created an outdoor oasis that is a deliberately designed and nurtured refuge full of indigenous plantings. She selects plants that have symbiotic relationships with insects, providing them with a native food source that they have evolved to consume.
