gardens thrive with limited resources
With only sporadic rain and almost no drip irrigation (I still need to make repairs after this spring’s construction and disruption), the gardens continue to put on a show. The phlox paniculata ‘Jeana’ is blooming along the patio and the bronze fennel is absolutely magnificent in the Mr. Peanut fountain garden!
Foliage is still King in the shady gardens with lush tapestries of ferns, lungwort, blue carex, white bleeding heart and more happily mingle behind moss garden.
Don’t forget to take some cuttings to enjoy indoors. I love to cut umbellifers and float the blooms in a wide bowl of water. Pink yarrow is particularly gorgeous right now!
