Bumblebees sleeping on filipendula in The Big Little Garden

Presentation to Tyngsborough Garden Club

How we manage our landscape is as important as what we plant in the garden. Learn how to achieve your best garden ever and protect our precious beneficial insects through thoughtful and intentional stewardship. This discussion will include steps for spring and fall cleanup (or not!), mulching, protecting the soil, cutting back, and selecting native and non-native plants to extend pollinator activity from early spring through late autumn. I will share my observations of butterfly and other insect life cycles and best practices to protect vital habitat to ensure their survival. Club members only.
